Marketing Management Class
MBA 565 Marketing Management key component is a simulation developed by Interpretive Solutions. The simulation is named PharmaSim. PharmaSim is a marketing management simulation based on an over-the-counter cold medicine company. The simulation is very complex in nature and does a great job exposing students to real-life situations, such as developing new products, understanding the marketplace, creating competitive pricing, and establishing distribution channels, and even provides special circumstances where students will have to tackle an introduced problem, like tampering.
Taking the class a step further, when students are managing and implementing their marketing decisions they also have to actually create the product. In this case; logo design, labeling, and packaging. It is a great way to implement tangibility to the simulation. Below are pictures of graduate students and their creations.
